Well Aunt BB and Uncle Clint are in town for two weeks. We did our "winter cleaning" and got the house in shape for Thanksgiving.(took advantage of my sister who is pregnant and let her "nest" up my house! ) We had a house full of family and I enjoyed having everyone here so much. We have been cooking our turkey in a roaster for the last few years. Its so great a 20lb turkey is completely done in about 2.5 hours. That beats having it in your oven for 12 hours and taking up space all day. But every year brian still wants to get up and put it on at 7. So once again the turkey was done by 10 am. LOL.. This year I am leaving a note in the roaster to maybe stop the madness for next year. LOL. We had a house full of great food.
Uncle Steve and Aunt Alicia joined us for a few days. It was madness every night before bed. The boys would spend 20 mins jumping from the ottoman onto Steve or Alicia, run down the couch and jump back on the ottoman and start all over again. It was sooooo funny to watch. Jacob is enjoying Aunt BB putting lotion on him 2x a day (that kid LOVES Lotion) Needless to say the boys will be sad when the house is empty again in a week.
Nathan got his stitches taken out by me. The first two cost me 2 M&Ms and the last 5 cost me a cupcake. But we got them all out with out an incidence. He has quite a scar but we are putting mederma on it 3x a day and hoping it wont looks so bad in a few weeks.
We went out to eat tonight at pei wei (asian food). Uncle Clint was eating w/ chop sticks and Nathan decided to try to eat fried rice like Uncle Clint. I'll be damned if he didn't get a huge bite first try w/ chop sticks! It was so funny! That kid will eat anything.
Elf on a shelf is back in the house "watching" the boys. I love this time of year. We got the house decorated (tree and stuff up), but haven't gotten to the outside stuff yet because its freaking cold and we have 30 mile an hour winds over here. So we will get that done sometime this next week. Its nice to be getting into the Christmas spirit....... now what to do for Christmas card pictures??????????????????????
