Dentist kids!

Nathan has been telling me for weeks that he "needs his teesh paurrished" LOL. So this last week we went and brought dad lunch and work and he asked if dad would polish his teeth. I loved that his feet were crossed and he was so chill!

Green Thumb!

So lately I have noticed that the rubber plant by the front door has looked especially green and nice. I thought it was the light it was getting from having a window in our new front door.

Last night we caught Nathan watering the plant. He says he has been doing it a while. Which shows because it looks great.

Brian and I were thinking last night that he probably saw my mom do it (she totally has a green thumb!) while she was watching them during Trenton's birth.

So I am here paying bills on the couch and see him walk by w/ a glass full of water from the bathroom and ask him what he is doing. He reply's "I am watering our plant" I ask "who told you to do that?" He pours in the water, looks me right in the eyes and says "GOD did, he wasn't happy the plant was thirsty and GOD told me to water it and make it happy."

First Night Home

All is well in the Spence household. All 3 boys are sound asleep, well at least for the time being. The big brothers seemed to handle baby Trenton's arrival well. Nathan was a little mad at me for being gone and was throwing some attitude. He seemed to come around when we baked some blueberry muffins together.:) Jacob is 2 and well although easily distracted by things like toys or games, he still had a few 2 year old tantrums today testing me from being gone for the last few days.

All in all they are adjusting well and tonight before bed both boys asked to hold Trenton. I wish I had gotten some better shots with Nathan, however the camera acted up and I only got one. Nathan is so reserve and needs time to process the baby a bit more, but did come around by the end of the night. He acts like he wants nothing to do w/ his little brother but if Jacob gets to close to him he protects Trenton like any BIG brother would.

Poots!

We were eating dinner tonight at dickeys. Right in the middle of dinner Nathan who is sitting next to me looks up and says "Hey Mom, I just pooted". Brian and I bust out laughing. I was just glad he said it quietly. I replied "You pooted on me while I am eating? YUCK". He looks at me and replies "No I pooted that way" while pointing behind his back.

Boys!!

Mom I think I wanna go camping!

So the last few days Nathan has talked about going on a camping trip. He has a list of items we need (like guns to kill the bears!).  So today we got him to list out all the things a boy needs for a camping trip. Here is the list they came up with:
- tent
- smores (smart boys!)
- fire ( we did use a lighter and let them blow the fire out! too hot for a fire tonight)
-backpacks
- poptarts (jacobs idea of course!)
-map (so we know where we are!)
- flashlights
- Guns (to kill the bears!)
-Blankets/pillows
-camping chairs
-a tunnel (???? no clue on this one)

So Dad set out early this afternoon collecting things to take them camping. With the heat and me being 9.5 months pregnant we decided to camp "inside" (I know I know what your thinking but its hot and there are A LOT of frogs in our yard! If i ran into one in the dark this child WOULD be born tonight!) So we set up a 10*11 foot tent in our entry hall. Did it fit yes... and no. But we worked it out. You cant use the gameroom or front door, but hey we are camping!!
Here is our "tunnel entrance"

yes it was dark dad was guiding them through!

One little piggy is hiding... but the two wolves are growling!

Someone shares so sweetly!

more stories and tent time!!!

Just trying to have some special family time before the family dynamics change. The boys are looking forward to doing this outside w/ smores off the fire pit as soon as the weather changes a little bit! I have the map all ready for a treasure hunt for the BIG day! We also shot our guns, Jacob ate a poptart and blew out fire off the hand held lighter (hey I wasnt about to start a fire in the fireplace! Too hot already for this fat girl!

Waiting on Baby Boy #3 arrival any day! Should just add to the craziness that is "The Spence Family".
