Bad Guys

I picked the boys up from school on wed, I had to run to Kroger. While in Kroger Jacob was misbehaving and earned 3 mins in time out. On the drive home he hit Trenton and Nathan and earned another 2 mins. At a stop light I turn around and look at Nathan, and he says to me "Mom I think Jacobs going to be a BAD GUY when he grows up!"  I said "really? why?" He saids "Well he is always misbehaving. Momma bad guys smoke cigarettes, drive fast cars and get in trouble" .... I thought to my myself.. "Dear God.. please OH please don't let Jacob be a bad guy!" I love that is his interpretation of "bad guy"!
Jacob then replied he didn't want to be a bad guy anymore.:) prayers answered!

Whoops... he got YUCKED!

So I was on the way home from bible study when I opened the garage to find 2 nasty little frogs sitting in my parking spot~! Luckily I had just checked the mail and had some wonderful Dental junk mail! I armed Jacob w/ some 8x10 sized literature.. I am no monster... I  gave him substantial sized "frog moving" or "motivation" pamphlets. (for me it would have been protection!) 

Jacob proudly jumps out of the car and casually approaches the two tiny frogs. All of a sudden they started to jump towards the cabinets, Jacob tried as he may w/ his "frog mover" to encourage them out the door when .... WHAM! I was in the car and JUMPED SO HIGH~~! Jacob bends down and looks under the cabinets and yells back to me "MOM HE GOT YUCKED"  (YUCKED = smashed in the mouse trap) I cant even think about what a frog in a mousetrap looks like .... SO I WONT. Brian please hurry home!!!! hahahahaha~! I seriously want to throw up thinking about it!

Mama's Candy

Jacob was in my bathroom getting ready with me in the morning. He picks up something off the counter and says "Mom can I have some of your candy?" I turn around to see him holding a pack of my birth control. I laugh and take it from him and tell him "J that's not candy that's mom's medicine." He looks at me and says "You dont feel good?" I explained "Jacob this is medicine that keeps mommy from having any more babies."  He yells at me "YOU CAN HAVE MORE BABIES!" Then follows it with a exhausting smack to his own forehead w/ his palm of his hand. Rolls his eyes and walks out of the room in a huff. LOLOL....

His favorite new saying these days is  "that's why we DON'T need a BABY!"  He tends to like to use this phrase when Trenton spills something, or when he has to shut a bathroom door b/c Trenton likes to play in the potty. My personal favorite is when I ask him to get me some diapers and that is his response!

 Trenton, now mobile, is always right where the action is... which is usually right next to Jacob! I think Jacob is getting a tiny dose of what Nathan has put up with the last few years! LOL.. it's funny to watch!

Actual Conversation:
Me: Nay you want to eat pizza tomorrow at school?
N: no, no one goes to the lunch line, they all bring their lunch.
Me: Its OK to be the first. Do you want me to come eat lunch with you tomorrow? I
will go through the line with you.
N: No! There was a big sign in the hall it had a big mama on it and it had a BIG X on
it (holding his arms up crossed in an X) So that means MOMS cant come to school
to eat lunch.
Me: Oh really? Do you want daddy to come?
N: Yes he can come.

Trenton says "piss on school"

So today I thought it would be a good idea to take Nathan to his new school and walk around. Nathan is the kind of kid that does NOT like surprises. He likes to feel comfortable so I wanted him to know the school and where he was at. We pulled up and as I did my cousin's husband and her two kids jump out of their truck. WHAT TIMING!!! So the soon to be fourth grade twins, Faith and Michael, took us on a tour of the school.
Trenton is to hard to hold so I was pushing him around in his little radio flyer car. About 3/4 of the way through the tour T started to get cranky so I let him walk around with us. We turned the corner and he lost his footing and sat down kind of hard and thats when I saw it.... yeah.. you know.. right out the back of his diaper. (We were at the pool and i used a pullup b/c it was all i had in my bag.. bad choice) So I pick him up and run into the teachers bathroom. Strip him down clean him up and well... his shorts were.. well ..dirty. I came out and put his little naked butt in his car w/ a shirt on.
I say "ok lets go to the car and get Trent a diaper" on our way out we had to divert back and around b/c they were polishing the floor up front. As I am walking by the assistant principals office, Big Mike (heathers hubby) called me in to meet the principal. I was thinking... um.. well.. I cant be rude so I just walked in said hi and introduced Nathan and myself. As I turn to go get Trenton I hear little Mike say "OH.... hes peeing everywhere" He was standing up on the seat of the little car just wizzing away. I scoop him up again, go clean him and the car and this time hauled it to the car like it was no ones business.
My fault ... YES. Could have been avoided... YES. But seriously this is my life. Every time I am not prepared I get tested!

Beach Trip 2013

So with school about to start back, we thought that a beach weekend was in order! Both of Brian's brothers families met us for the weekend at the most wonderful beach house. The house was right on the inner-coastal canal and we got to see the large ships and barges come and go. The big doc was a prime spot for fishing and crabbing. The boys were endlessly amused with the crabs! (I think all the adults were also!)

 The cousins had A BLAST! They climbed up and down bunk beds and ran all around the dock. They slept soooo hard both nights.

They had a blast at the beach also. Well everyone but cousin Ryan! The first day at the beach he managed to get stung by a jellyfish through his swim shirt! Poor guy! Trenton ate a bunch of sea shells and got so tired he laid his head down on the sand like he was going to sleep! LOL... moments later he rubbed his eyes with his arms that were covered in sand! SOOO.. I had to run him to the cooler of water and rinse him down. He enjoyed the rest of the day wrapped in a towel eating goldfish in the shade! Its a hard life. Trenton is walking everywhere. He really started preferring to walk right as we left for the trip. Jacob liked collecting shells w/ cousin Ben and Aunt Dawn~! Nathan liked riding the boogie board and football with dad~

We got home Sunday night, took baths, brushed teeth, and said prayers. We were saying what we were thankful for and Nathan says, "fishing, catching crabs and..." then bust into tears. He realized as he said it that he left his tiny 3 crab claws there that he had carried around all weekend. When he calmed down he told me he hid them on the deck. I wrote the owner and asked when they were going down next... she wrote me back and said she had just pulled up and the claws were right were N had said they would be and she would bring them back with her on thurs! Nathan was so excited! Funny how something can mean so much to a child!

Big Butts and I cannot lie! (that's a song quote for you old people~)

So today after gymnastics I ended up not having to run out to my moms house. Brian and I took the kids to chick-fil-a! I thought I would let the boys have a sprite with lunch. I get to the table and J says he wants tea. So I told him to drink mine. We left his untouched. About 30 mins later as we were leaving I realized Jacob had his cup and was trying to drink out of the straw hole by tilting the cup. I said "lets go get you a straw."

As I walk up to the straws there was a man. A LARGE, LARGE man. I am talking he was wider than me from elbow to elbow(arms stretched out of course!). I squeezed by holding Trenton and a bag and grabbed a straw. At that time the man backed up to let a woman w/ a stroller by. He cut off Jacob's line of site to me and J started to yell "Mama, I can't see you, MAMA, there is a BUTT in my way. MAMA, this BUTT IS HUGE, MAMA, I cant see you, MAMA I cant move this butt."

The man heard the commotion and turned and said "Sorry little buddy", now being able to see me again he runs and grabs my leg and still with in ear shot says "His butt was 100 butts BIG" I was 20 shades of red gasping for air. I didn't have a spare hand to put over his mouth. I about hyperventilated by the time I got out the back door by the drive through.

On the way to the car he says "Some butts are big, some butts are small, some butts are HUGE!"

Not a proud moment as a parent, but we will have to deal with this  issue. We made it through the missing body parts conversation so I am sure I can handle this obstacle also. Children can be honest.... sometimes.. a little too honest!

I wanted to snap a pic for blog sake.... BUTT... lol... I did the right thing and left quickly!

Last weekend we went to Gibbons Creek w/ the Kramr's and took out the jet ski! They boys had a blast! We are trying to get them ready for when the pontoon boat is ready to go! (hopefully in a week or two!) Brian took them out for a ride. Jacob decided he wanted to go out on the tube w/ Jessica! He was screaming daddy go faster every time I could hear him from the shore! He is so crazy! They are already ready to go back!

Ok.. so its not a really real pool, but he didn't know the difference. I stuck him in and at first he started crying because it was cold. Then naked Jacob jumped right in and started splashing! Then it was all fun and games. They must have been in that pool 45 mins! Had a blast! He is ol' blue eyes grinning for the camera!

Gardening with Horace.

My sweet sweet neighbor invited the boys over to dig up potatoes! We headed over this morning wagon in tow.

 I don't know who looked older, Horace... or Nathan with his "Hi I'm 70, socks!"

 They watched Horace do all the work! I was shocked they weren't knee deep in dirt!
