Sunday w/ the Kramrs!

Well Brian's associate and his family are so great! We were invited to a fun day out at the farm to shoot skeet. The food at these get togethers are crazy! I snacked all day.. Its monday night now and I am still full! The boys sat out on the porch and in the yard all day and got dirty and just had fun. I told them they could come down and watch us shoot but they had to wear earmuffs. Nathan LOVED his "mearmuffs" Jacob on the other hand would rather be up at the house being catered to by his two surrogate grandmas! Here are some fun pics of our full day in wheelock! NO nap = passing out in the car in a min by the time we left at 5:40pm. Ps: they slept good!

Love this pic!

Fun Saturday at the Man Store.

So we took the kids to the sat morning lowe's building project for kids. We got to build a "monster truck". It was a lot of hammering (by that I mean listening to 50 kids hammer in a small room) But it was a blast. The kids got little aprons w/ their names on it and a badge for completing their projects! Not to mention a cool car that has a light on top! They loved it and so did we. We will definitely sign up for the next one in 2 weeks!

I met a celebrity!

So we went to Jason's Deli today for lunch. Brian saw his parents so we moved to the back to sit by them. They left to go back to work and I noticed his older man who was laughing at Jacob. He was covered in Yogurt/snot and smiling at this gentleman. I would talk with him every min or so or when I got up to go get fork/napkin/refill/yogurt. After a few mins he asked Brian "Are you in medical school?" Brian replied "No I am a dentist here in town"
He said "Well let me introduce myself. I'm John David Crow." I had no idea who he was (this wont shock many of you) but by the way Brian acted I knew he was someone important. Brian pretty much left our table and sat with this gentleman. We continued to chat. Brian leaned over and told me to Google his name on my phone. When I did I was like... OH... Heisman trophy winning Aggie football player and Coach. WOW. What a legend. It was neat talking to him about his kids and grand kids and his career and about how bad the Aggies suck right now~ LOL. Anyhow, smile and be friendly... you never know who is sitting next to you! I bet Brian wont mind me talking to strangers so much now!

Doughnuts and Communion!

So Brian thought it would be fun to take the boys in their pj's this morning to go get doughnut holes for breakfast. After winding through the back roads b/c our road is under construction they finally arrive to wait in a LONG line. Finally they get 3 dozen holes and Brian said Jacob ate 4 before they left the parking lot and another 2 on the way home. Mean while Nathan finished one before they got home. J-tubbies ended up eating almost 12 by the time we left for church.
You can imagine how they acted being all cracked out on Shipleys doughnuts. They were wild. We go up to do communion. The pastor blesses the kids, and Brian and I do communion. We give our little cups (empty of course) to the kids to place in the little basket as we leave. I hand mine to Jacob and he puts it to his lips and throws his head back as if he took a shot. Brian and I started Giggling so loud we were thankful the organ music drowned it out (see barb... the organ again saved us!!! LOL) Nathan puts his cup in the basket and has to organize all the cups so they are all stacked.  Anyhow as always everyone says how cute they are and how much they enjoy seeing the boys in church. We made it half way home and turned around to see J-tubs passed out. They were so active in church!

Fire.

So I picked up the boys at school... had to play volunteer firefighter for an hour on the way home. We pulled upon a pasture fire called 911 and spent the next hour turning on sprinklers.... and moving pets. I got some action on video. One neighbor and one passerby  got out and started using shovels to assist a guy on a tractor w/ a sprayer. Next thing I know the guys started running back to their trucks that were literally 20 feet from the line of fire in a 10 mile an hour wind that just shifted. They got them moved but it was close! It was neat to be a part of helping... but it was really scary how fast that fire moved and how hard it was to contain even just in an open field. I truly want to thank all firefighters I know. You are so brave and your job is so important! Crazy!

I want my unnerwear back....

So after fire fighting.. (see next blog) We were at home resting after Mothers day out. About an hour after we got home nathan comes up to me and tells me "Momma I want my unnerwear back" I was thinking what? So I ask "nathana where is your underwear?" He says "I hid it at school" .. once again I was thinking what? .. so I check and sure enough. He is commando. I further investigate to find out that he got a tiny bit of Tee tee in them and decided to throw them in the trash can in the bathroom. That HAM!! I was so pissed because I just bought him these cute little boxer briefs which of course it the ones he threw away. We went back up to school and sure enough they had taken the trash out of the room already. We then ran into the cleaning cart and there they were. We ran into the two cleaning ladies on the way out and they asked if I needed something. I held up the underwear and they started laughing so hard. Nathan had A HUGE SMILE and was laughing. They were cracking up too!! On the way home he said "Momma, thanks for finding my unnerwear. I love my daddy unnerwear." These kids!!!!!
