He bit me!

So today was my nephews 5th birthday party, I wanted the boys to get a nap because we had a lot planned for the day. I was rocking Jacob to sleep (we were sitting tummy to tummy) and the baby kicked him hard. He pulled his head back and looked and me and said "THAT BABY KICKED ME!" He laid his head back down on me and worked is little arms in between us and stuck his finger in my belly button. He then yells "THAT BABY BIT ME!"

Tonight I am rocking him again (he likes me to sing him two short songs) and he tells me "I frow your baby in the water.. hes in the ducks mouf" (referring to the ducks unlimited painting on the wall in his room~!

What an imagination... think he got that from the "Spence" side for sure!

A dream come true.......

I remember going on a stroller walk down our street when Jacob was just a week or so old. Brian and I were talking about how one day.... many many years from now these two precious boys of ours would be riding bikes side by side faster than we could walk. Well that day is here.... sad but true.

Two weeks ago Jacob asked to ride brothers bike. I lowered the seat and off he went. Nathan helped push him on the upward slope and helped him stay out of the grass... it was a sight that about brought me to tears. Nathan was sharing his beloved bike, teaching his brother like a big brother should.

Well as the week had gone on Nathan was getting sick of sharing his bike and thanks to Barb, I found a really good looking one on craigslist that just so happened to need a little boy to ride it.  I fixed it up w/ training wheels and this is what we got... one PROUD J. TANNER!!!

And here are my boys in action... as you can see they leave me behind~ It didn't take long for Jacob to pick it up... however he doesn't really know how to stop just yet.. sure that will be a blog to come~!

So I love doing what my friend Amy's mom did in high school... she would pull all the pics out of the frame and laugh how much each pics changed over the years.

I know Nathan is only almost 4 but seriously ... he has grown so much!

Jacob has become more of a ham as each day goes on!

Here is the boys new school pics! I am in LOVE! I can only imagine what the third will be like!

The Baby's in MY belly!

So Jacob and I have the sweetest little baby stealing game. He came in and woke me up this morning and I asked him if he wanted to feel the baby move. He declined.
Later in the morning I went to go get his clothes to get him dressed... he comes running in his room yelling "my baby is moving, my baby is moving" I went to touch his belly and he slaps my hand and says "don't touch MY baby!"

Here he is showing me where his baby is....

His vocabulary has come pretty far... my favorite quotes about the baby are as follows:
(remember he steals my baby out of my belly ALOT...actually has held a fist for up to 20 mins "holding" him)
- I take your baby and eat him
-I take your baby and frow him in the water
-I take your baby and eat him... and spit him in the trash can
-I frow your baby in the tree
-I put your baby in my belly
-I ate your baby... mmmmm good
-and most recent
-I feel the baby kicking! LOLOLOL

My moms NOT funny!

So I get to Mother's Day Out yesterday to pick up the boys and the teachers helped the boys make a WONDERFUL Mothers Day gift. He was still sleeping when I walked up his teachers grinning from ear to ear. I had forgotten my phone and wished I could get a pic when one of them showed me a pic she took and forwarded to me!!! SOOOO funny! Butt up in the air!

Nathan woke up and went to retrieve something from the corner.  Nathan was proudly holding a flower pot, smiling. His teachers still grinning ear to ear said "And here is your card, he answered all these questions himself"... and here is what she handed me!

Click on this bottom pic to blow up... so you can get a good laugh at my expense!

I am still a little hurt over being 53.. and not funny. Especially when Jack thought his mom was 7!
