mama's been busy......

Daddy picked up the brick yesterday and I just couldn't wait to get started.... the boys tried to help, but didn't. Here are the before and afters.

Funny stuff

Nathan still thinks there is chocolate in his ears. No thanks to grand dad pulling two whoppers out of his ears again last night.  We were going to bed last night and brushing his teeth when I saw some earwax in his ears. (Prob from sticking his fingers in there looking for candy) So i took my finger nail and stuck it in his ear and got it out... he grabs my hand and says "I wanna lick it, I wanna lick the chocolate". I was thinking that would ruin his year to get a mouthful of earwax. He had a deathgrip on my hand.  I just got up and wiped it into an wipe he was sooooo upset. I guess there is a downfall of lying to your kids! Bad MOM!!

Nathan woke up this morning and said "Brother wants pancakes" ... said " really? when did he tell you this? Because he is still sleeping."   Twenty minutes later he tells me " Jack likes pancakes!"

cookie crypts? .... and a fun week recap!

      So Nathan got to try Cookie crisps at cousin Ryan's house on Halloween weekend. Dad just mentioned telling me on Monday so when I was at the store I picked some up. He smiled so big when I pulled them out yesterday for breakfast. He asked "Mom can I have cookie crypts?".. I about peed in my pants. He also asked to eat them for lunch and dinner! What a Ham!!!

      We were at my neighbors house yesterday and my 80 something year old neighbor Jim did the "whats that in your ear Nathan?" and pulled on his ear and magically a peice of chocolate appears. Well three chocolates later my 2 year old is really conserned that there is still some left. I laughed and told him " there's another one but I cant get it yet". Three hours later he wakes up from his nap and comes and tells me "I'm hungry.. I want chocolate in my ear" ... You have to love kids!

Mean while.. Jacob is growing up and walking and moving faster than I  can keep up with. It was a bit chilly out the other day and I brought the boys to chick fil a to play in the play place. As luck would have it we were the only ones in there. Jacob was trying to climb up and Nathan kept telling him "jacob you can do it"... which melted my heart. Jacob was so motivated he started to climb (sometimes w/ a little help from mom). Jacob went down the slide w/ me first. Then the second time.. I laid him back and sent him down. He LOVED it. So the third time I thought I would get it on tape.... Little did I know it would be my "Mother of the year award" (as barb and I tease)for this video. Check it out.... that kid!!!!

He was sooooo pooped out!!!

 We watched the Aggie game at Sylvia and Jake's house this last week. We ate BBQ and Celebrated Jake turning old (30)!! Auntie Kim and Uncle Dave spoiled Nathan w/ all sorts of fun games on their high tech phone. (we just have boring ones:() Nathan played all sorts of games and still asks to play them on mine.... to bad Nathan .. mom isn't as cool as Dave and Kim!!

So Jacobs best big boy friend turned 1 this last weekend. Happy B-day Luke! We all had a blast at his party.  I cant believe that Jacob Tanner will turn one in less than a month!!! YIKES!!! The boys played in the sand box ate cake and just had fun.

Loving Eggnog

Well I went for the ultimate bribe. I gave Nathan a sweet taste of Christmas Nectar.. Eggnog.. you could see his eyes get big with excitement. I knew then... I had him. So I told him if he poops in the potty he gets a sweet taste of the eggnog. So far 24 hours we have not had one poop in the pants. Hoping this continues working!  ...

Last night I took this sweet pic of Brian putting Jacob to bed. Just warms my heart. He is such  a great father and husband. How did I get so lucky!!

I made some blinds for our front door windows. I am happy to have a little privacy from the street when craziness is going on in our house. I think it looks great and I made it so cheap. I love finding fabric on sale!

Halloween and fun in the COLD at Gigi's house.

So we took the boys trick or treating. Nathan went w/ his twin cousins, Faith & Michael. They are 6 and run fast so brian and I ended up running w/ both boys in the strollers. I deserved the candy we got... lord knows I burned the calories running. We had a lot of fun. Nathan got a ton of sweets. Jacob was supposed to be tigger but it was just to hot to put that doll in that outfit. So we took one today so he can still have a pic in it..LOL.. I will add it a bit later...

This was the aftermath of two boys eating candy late at night!!! We got them to sleep around 10:30.... it was NUTS! 

We also went to visit the Gigi's yesterday. (That's my granny and grandma...stands for Great grandma!) We ate lunch w/ Gigi -papa as nathan refers to my Moms mom. She pulled out all the stops including my beloved baked chicken and tapioca pudding!!! Yum!!

 We then went to see Gigi-buck buck (nathan calls my dad's mom... buck buck is her dog! LOL) and it was a little to cold outside for my bald kids. So I borrowed some of Gigi's hats that we used as kids. The boys thought the hats were so funny. We had a blast playing out in the cold weather on Gigi's front porch.
