For the first time in over 4 years, everyone in the Spence family home is potty trained! Jacob just decided that he was ready. He asked for underwear and has had only one small tee tee accident in the last almost week. So small it barely needed a change.
He has however had 2 "questionable" potty breaks that need mentioning.
First one was last Sunday when we attended a wedding in New Braunsfels. J wanted to go poo poo on his "little potty". Try as I may to explain to a 2 year old that mommy doesnt travel w/ the little potty, he would not go, but sit on the big potty and complain about wanting a little one. On the way home he yelled at Brian to pull over. As we have many times (because the boy doesn't lie when he needs to go!) Brian gets out with him, pulls his pants down and he says he needs to go poop. Brian held him over the grass and I was astonished he would poop in the grass on the side of the road but no in the big potty which I took him too 4 times at the wedding. KIDS!
So I think it was tues we were getting ready to go to the store when Nathan yells from the garage... "MOM...JACOB IS POOPING IN THE GRASS." There I find my little bear cub, naked from the waist down standing on the concrete and pooping in the grass. I started laughing so hard. I mean it wasn't an accident he didn't go in his pants. But it wasn't quite the goal I was headed for. I do not want to be the mom of the kid that poops in the sandbox on the playground and with school getting close again the thought crossed my mind!
I brought him inside to finish and he threw a fit about his poo poo being together. He went right back outside and finished and topped it off w/ some tee tee in the grass.
As we saw Daddy that evening Jacob proudly announced "I poo pooed and tee teed in the grass.. I AM A BIG BOY~:"
The following morning I woke up to these two monkeys on my bed wrestling over a box of lightening mcqueen big boy wipes. Nathan is yelling "These are MY big boy wipes" and Jacob is yelling "I poo pooed in the grass I AM A BIG BOY"
These are the days of MY life!
So I will eagerly enjoy a 3-4 week period of diaper-less days until Spence boy number 3 arrives and sends us right back into diaper hell~!! LOL
