Pop goes the weasel!

So tonight is floss night at the Spence house. I floss the boys teeth once a week or more. (Yes people that is normal in a 3 year old and under people.. if your not ... get on it) Any how... when i put the floss through nathan's contacts I say "Pop goes the weasel" so he knows it supposed to pop.
Brian put him down while I was rocking the other stink monkey... and met me in the hall and said "Nathan said you got all the weasels out of his mouth?" It took me a second to understand... but Nathan takes everything I say literally.  So much for taunting him with sugar bugs!!! Lol.

Also at dinner I am trying to make Nathan understand if you walk away from your food and take 1.5 hours to eat other people will steal your food in school or your teacher will throw it away. So Nathan leaves the table and Jacob steals food off his plate. I hear Nathan tell him "Jasup you KNOW BETTER" followed by " that's ridiculous". He is slowly getting it. Cutest part was when they were done they bring their plates and forks to the sink. I love that they can help w/ cleaning up now.

New family pics!

So i actually had it in my head we would take the perfect family pic... i would blow it up and put it above the fireplace. WRONG! They were terrrrrrrible. We got a few cute ones but nothing i would waste money on enlarging. I think Jacob will be 14 before we get a good family pic! Those boys!

But none the less, they are adorable in their own little stinker way! I was actually bouncing a ball off their heads to get a smile. The things we do as parents!

Mr. Smarty pants

So  while cleaning the house today i found a small scorpion. Upon announcing it both boys came running. They peered at it and said "No touch". Nathan then yells "Lets flush it" So he goes and gets me 1/2 a square of tp. REALLY??? (he uses 27 to wipe his butt....!!!! ) So here comes jacob with 3 more squares. As I am carring it to the potty to have my way with it, Nathan says "Potties are not for toys they are for TeeTee, Poopoo and scorpions!" I had to laugh out loud.

Earlier we were cleaning (by we, I mean me) my bathroom. I had taken all the shampoos and combined them, and the baby soaps. I asked Nathan who was by the trash can to "Get me the trash can". He acts as though he doesn't hear me, so I rudely say "Nathan get the trash can now." He turns to me cocks his head and said "mama that was rude! How do we ask nicely?" So i said "Nay can you please get the trash can for me?" He then says "Yes, since you asked nice. I like a  polite young lady" (i always say i like a polite young man when they are polite which is all the time!!!:)) I was speechless after getting reprimanded by a 3 year old for being rude.

That JUST happened.

Having a conversation with nathan heading into mothers day out (looking at the 20 foot noah's ark poster):
"Mommy those monkeys like to move it move it":), I said "Yes those are not monkeys they are called lemurs. They did sing the move it move it song" (we watched madagascar two weeks ago at uncle mikes).

Later today around 4:30 I walk up on him and Jacob having a conversation and he says something about move it move it. I said "are you talking about the monkeys?". He says "Sirry (silly) mama, memurs sing move it move" LOLOLOL.. he is so stinking smart.

We were on our way home today and I stopped at the stop sign in the church parking lot (the sign was right even with nathan's window.) He says "GOOD JOB MAMA YOU STOPPED AT THE SIGN, YOUR A GOOD GIRL" (the thinks every time he sees a sign I should stop whether its for me or not and yells at me and tells me i will get a ticket if i don't stop!)

We have also been being chased by alligators for the last week, we have quit an imagination.

Meanwhile Jacob just copies EVERYTHING that Nathan does. He is repeating every word you say. My favorite is "stop it now" and "rock you" (i ask him "do you want me to rock you? so that's him telling me he wants to be rocked!)

Sweet Spence Boys!

Well to start at naptime today I could hear nathan in his room talking. After approaching his room I could hear him singing a twisted version of "Jesus loves me/ twinkle twinkle little star" I was so sweet i hit record on my phone, crept in and recorded 3 mins of the sweetest music a mother can hear! I will treasure it always.
Earlier in the day we went to meet the teacher day at the boys Mothers Day Out school. Jacob wanted to keep the cars we were playing with in the room. I traded my keys and pen for the cars so we would not have tears upon leaving. I buckled in the boys and proceeded to tell Nathan we were going to go to Kroger. (He has to know what we are doing step by step) Anyhow we pulled up and I was getting my list and coupons in order to make our trip faster. I may have sat there for 2-3 mins. I turn around to see this:

The first words out of my mouth were "I deserve that" He after all was saying "color, color, color", but in true mother fashion I had tuned him out. I proudly took him in to Kroger challenging any stranger to ask, God knows their kids did the same! Little terrors!! I love my little monkeys!

We took a trip to Round Rock last weekend to visit w/ my brother and sister in law.. and throw my other brother in law and soon to be sister in law a wedding shower. We ended up leaving around 3:30pm. I kept the boys up thinking that they would nap on the almost two hour drive there. We made a BIG mistake. Jacob was SO ANNOYING the entire ride there. He was just chanting words or phrases, he kept pinching nathan... then just started fussing.  Here is proof brian got of our fun ride... I love nathans pics!

Here are some fun pics in the last few weeks!

J -tubs went on the potty!!!

I am SOOOOOO excited tonight Jacob peed in the little potty. I know for all you non parents this is no big deal... but let me tell you. THIS IS HUGE. I have seen this kid pee maybe 5-7 times .. like 2 times in the shower... 2 times at the pool (you just keep laughing barb....he peed on me for all those wondering !!) and a couple of times right after he got out of the shower running around the house naked (yes even the time on our bed! GRRRR) He is such a shy pee-er! Nathan was peeing in the little potty by 17 months, and on command in the shower way before that... .. Jacob is 20 months so this is really exciting!

You would know JUST as Nathan starts using the big potty exclusively ... Jacob starts using the little potty.. Guess I will be potty training 3 years straight. But hey if that means no more diapers.. I am game~!!

Bite!

We were hanging out at my neighbors house last night watching the lightening roll in. Our neighbor Mr. Jim pulled some chocolate out of the boys ears (his little trick to give them chocolate). They were a miss so we went to clean their hands in the waterhose. Nathan yelled that ants were biting him. I pulled off his shoes and cleaned his feel off. He kept on saying that it hurt later that night. We noticed this morning his foot was swollen and he has a huge puss mark like he had been bitten by a fire ant. I numbed it with orajel and popped it. But his foot hasnt gone down at all.. Here was a pic tonight at bedtime! Ouch!

His foot is so swollen his toes are curling.

see how red it is.. its real puffy on top
nathan was mad b/c brian drew on his foot to make sure it wasn't spreading

see the bite on his right foot (left one in pic) by his big toe.

Will keep you updated!!!
