Spence boys in the snow!

      We took the boys out to see the snow outside. It was not enough to make a snowman, but enough to look pretty outside. The boys loves walking around in the fresh snow. Jacob would have stayed outside all day if i had let him. He never fussed even once.
   
     Nathan on the other hand was outside for 3 mins and wanted to go back inside. He was inside sitting in front of the fire when I came inside. He was getting "warm and toasty"! LOL

We got snow today so of course the whole town of bryan/college station shuts down. Brian's office closed so he was at home all day today. I thought I would take advantage of having him here, so I called Kim the most amazing hair dresser EVER. As it would have it, she was able to fit me in at 1. She called me 10 till so I jumped in the car and went. She highlighted, cut, and gave the most amazing scalp massage EVER! Had a little company from Amy Bell which was so nice to see her and so she could make fun of me wearing gray sweats w/ my prom hairdo! When Kim was doing my hair she decided to introduce me to eyebrow waxing b/c I have been slacking. Lets just say I didn't yell of flinch .. but I wasn't going to yell Kelly Clarkson if you know what I was saying. DAMN that hurts. Only for 2 seconds but JC! OUCH! Anyhow here it is! Wish I could look like this everyday.

So the best part of the day besides being pampered....... hearing about the shenanigans that went on while I was gone!

1) Nathan walked up right in front of brian and spit on the ottoman
2) Nathan peed in his pants and had to have his pants changed
3) Nathan played in potty and had to have his shirt changed
4) Nathan woke jacob up from his nap when he tore the baby gate down singing happy birthday to jacob (its not his birthday)
5) Nathan grabbed the salt shaker and ran through the house pouring out salt all over the floor.
6) Jacob has a BIG purple bruise from a Thomas the train incident to his forehead
7) Jacob did his happy feet tantrum anytime he wanted something until Brian figured out what j wanted.

and when I walked in the door Brian says the title to me.. i just busted out laughing.

Time out... and intro to the wooden spoon!

Nathan now voluntarily puts himself in time out. Its adorably sweet too bad the behavior that surrounds it is not! He had been doing bad things (sitting on brother, pushing brother, not sharing toys... not picking up toys, not eating his dinner!) and he responds to my reprimands by running away. Soooo mama brought out the big wooden spoon. I really only had to pop him once and he now understands that when i say 1 (of the 1,2,3) he comes a running. Amazing how fast they do learn.

Jacob on the other hand, as sweet as a kid he is, is learning to stick up for himself by doing the same things back to brother. He has learned "mine", "no", "stop". So cute though today Nathan and I were singing our A,B,C's and Jacob at 14 months actually sang "Abcdefg" not all that clear but in a great melody. Jacob is has learned a bunch of new words like "gigi","drink", "up" "bang bang"(w/ a hammer in hand),and "dance"(while doing happy feet). I can ask him to go grab a diaper and he does it, he will also throw anything in the trash if i ask him too. He also likes to grab things close to Nathans heart and run away with them. Its fun to watch them play chase.

Our new fun game is making tower, tents and tunnels. We take a big quilt and drape it over the couch or the bed and the chair in Nathans room. It keeps them entertained for hours. They are also loving the fire in the fireplace. Nathan says its "warm and toasty". So cute!

SLIPPY SITUATION......

Woke up today and got a text from my bestie for a playdate w/ our kids. It just happens to be her birthday, so i thought i could whip up some brownies before the playdate for her birthday. I had about 40 mins. I whip them up.. spay the pan w/ PAM.. put them in the oven and head to the shower. I was in the shower for literally 3 mins. When i turn off the water i hear Jacob fussing. Not like he is hurt, but that he is not happy at whats going on.
 I find the two of them in the pantry COVERED IN PAM>>> YES COOKING SPRAY!  FROM HEAD TO TOE, you see Nathan is fascinated w/ spray stuff.  He sprayed the floor, the walls, his brother.. his brothers face, ears, hair, hands, the back of the door got the majority of it. I had to clean each individual coke cans, 2 litre bottles, bags of chips.. you name it, it was slippery. Unfortunatly the pics dont do it justice but I DID DOCUMENT IT!
I was SOOOOOO PISSED! It took about an hour and fifteen mins to clean it all up. I had to give the boys a bath w/ adult soap to get the bulk of it off. They are still a bit soft if you know what i am saying.
